My Favorite Things.1

Have you ever noticed how Disney's Sleeping Beauty looked beautiful even when she was sleeping? Her hair is perfect. Her skin is flawless…and her lips are rosy, red!

I know that I don’t look like “Sleeping Beauty” while trying to get my 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night, but I was determined to find out how to wake up without extra wrinkles on my face and silky-smooth hair… even though I toss and turn most nights.  Through my research, I found this article by Lauren Valenti of Marie Claire, which shares the benefits of sleeping on a silk pillowcase, as well as a HuffPost Style article by Julee Wilson.  After reading both, I decided to test out this theory myself.  And the results are in!   I highly recommend sleeping on a silk pillowcase.  It truly prolongs a hairstyle and helps controls frizz. I also notice an improvement in my skin; less redness and fewer creases.   I’m sure my favorite nighttime moisturizer helps as well, but more on that in an upcoming post.

As you can imagine, my silk pillowcase has now become one of my Favorite Things!  Watch out, Aurora!

Below are some links to some different grades of silk pillowcases.  However, you can find them all over the web.  I purchased the first one below.

If you decide to try a silk pillowcase out for yourself, please leave your comments below or on my Facebook page!  I truly want to hear how it has worked for you!!
