Ageless Style: Twine & Twig

I had quite the week at Hilton Head last week. Mr. Silver headed back to Fort Mill, on business and I stayed since he was coming back for the weekend. Within hours of him leaving I started feeling poorly. (I pride myself on my health and cannot tell you the last time I was sick.) But by that evening, I was down and out with a fever and an aching back. I won’t share anything else other than this was my 2nd bladder infection in my lifetime. UGH! Luckily my Dr. responded quickly and I got antibiotics Friday by mid-day and started feeling better yesterday. If you have had a bladder infection you know how I felt. If you haven’t, please avoid one at all costs.

Now on to better topics. I was recently contacted by a friend of mine, Whitley Adkins, a Fashion and Wardrobe Stylist at The Queen City Style. She’s awesome and I always love it when we see each other and get to catch up. As part of her work, she works closely and styles for the magazine the QC Exclusive. They are a Charlotte and the Carolinas’ luxury lifestyle brand and feature culture, food and drink, home and design, travel, and sporting. I was honored when Whitley asked me to be part of the fall Arts & Culture issue featuring Charlotte’s own, Twine & Twig. Creators and Sisters Elizabeth White and Jacquelyn Buckner launched Twine & Twig seven years ago, inspired by a love for the rustic outdoors and the casual calm of the Carolina coast. They feature naturally sourced materials from around the world, and each piece is designed, handcrafted, tied with their signature suede strap, and made in their Charlotte-based studio. If you read Vogue, Domino, Glamour, Elle, or Southern Living then you know that this jewelry brand is in hot demand.

I was asked to participate in the photoshoot with several other Charlotte creatives at Camp North End, and as part of the shoot Twine & Twig gave me the choice of selecting some jewelry items. I was smitten with this mixed metallic layer set (and the bracelet), as I knew it was a piece I would wear forever. My piece was handmade by the women of Ghana and love that I can add more layers of Twine and Twig pieces in the future.

This beautiful gold dress is Eileen Fisher and was gifted to me. Can’t wait to throw my black moto jacket on top as we get further into fall. My shoes are from my closet and are Via Spiga’s which I will never part with. They work year after year and never go out of style.

Definitely check out all the Twine & Twig jewelry here (right now they are offering 25% off for their anniversary sale) and the current issue of QC Exclusive as well. It is a gorgeous magazine with great articles. And if you want to shop my look you can follow me on LiketoKnow.it or shop below. I do earn a small commission if you purchase from the links.

As always, thanks for reading.
