I don’t know about you, but I get very motivated when I see someone that is fit and continues to work out or stays active no matter what his or her age.

I like to...move it, move it!  Working out gives me a high regardless of my workout; spinning, running, walking, biking, etc.  There are so many ways to stay active.  I truly believe it is all about what works for you, and makes you happy!  If I get out of my routine, I don’t feel as good.  Additionally, if I don’t complete my workout early in the day, I find too many excuses not to do it.  That’s why I make it a habit.  Even if I don’t want to and did I mention, I don’t like to do weights!  On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays as soon as I am done around 7AM…I always say to myself “best part of the day!”  Why do I do them…you might ask?  Because, I know that as I age they are important to my health and will keep me young at heart.  Dr. Mercola's article about the right dose of exercise for a longer life explains this.

I found the following people and their stories motivational.  I hope you do too!

A 60-Year Old Cross Fit Competitor by Lizzie Fuhr of POPSUGAR

A 78-YearOld... Getting Fit At Any Age by Erin Cullum of POPSUGAR

And the best yet... 91-Year Old Harriet Thompson who recently completed her 15th Marathon by Theoden Janes of the Charlotte Observer.

How do you stay motivated and what is your move it, move it routine?   Harriet and the others were so motivating that I decided to run another half marathon!  If Harriet can do it...so can all of us!
